Video

  • The player window displays the main camera angle (1) with 3 supporting angles (2-3-4) to the right, all numbered for your convenience.
  • The video title appears above the main camera angle left justified.  Placing your mouse over the video name will display the full name in a popup window.
  • Clicking on a supporting angle will swap angle positions, e.g. the supporting angle will move to the main angle location and the main angle will move to the supporting angle location.  The video will continue to play as angles are swapped.
  • Clicking on the main angle during video playback will pause the video.  Clicking again will begin playing the video from the paused location.

Logos

  • Right Logo (Logo1):  resides below support angle 4.  This logo can be used for a corporate logo, advertising, sponsor, etc.  A link can also be configured that, when clicked, will open an additional browser tab and redirect to the specified URL.
  • Bottom Logo (Logo2):  resides below the video progress/play bar.  This logo can be used for a corporate logo, advertising, sponsor, etc.  A link can also be configured that, when clicked, will open an additional browser tab and redirect to the specified URL.
  • Med World Live Logo:  resides below Logo1 and is built into the player.  It cannot be removed or altered in any manner.  A link to the Med World Live home page is configured that, when clicked, will open an additional browser tab and redirect to the Med World Live website.

Action Bar Controls

  • Icons from left to right.
  • A mouse over of each player icon will display a popup notification.
  • Rewind:  Selecting this icon rewinds the video by 5 seconds.  During the course of playing the video, internet connectivity, browser and system hiccups and swapping/moving angles, the video feeds may get out-of-sync by several frames.  Clicking the rewind button will move the video back 5 seconds across all 4 angles thereby re-syncing the video feeds.
  • Play/Pause:  Play and pause the video.
  • Slow: Plays the video in slow motion.  Clicking on the slow button reduces the video to half of normal playback speed.  Clicking on the slow button a second time places the video playback into normal play mode.
  • Progress bar:  The video progress indicator will move from left to right as the video plays. You can step forward or step back by dragging the progress indicator left and right.  Depending on you video capability, you will see a grey bar progressing from left to right a head of the black playback indicator.  This is the html5 video streaming ahead of the playback to enable a smooth video delivery without buffering notifications.
  • By placing your cursor on the progress indicator, a small video screen popup will appear displaying that specific portion of the video.
  • Bookmarks:  A maximum of 10 bookmarks can be configured per video.  The bookmarks can be used to pinpoint important times throughout the video.  As the video plays and the progress indicator moves left to right encountering a bookmark, the bookmarks will popup when the progress bar hits the bookmark’s configured time (hh:mm:ss).  Bookmarks can also be displayed manually by clicking the bookmark identifier in the progress bar.  A link can be added to the bookmark configuration that, when clicked, will open an additional tab in the respective browser displaying the URL.  Note: the video will pause at that location when the link tab is opened.  Upon returning to the video browser tab you will have to manually click play to continue watching the video.  To close the bookmark simply click on the bookmark.  If a bookmark is opened, and the next bookmark is encountered, the original bookmark will close.
  • Time Stamp:  Displays the start/play time of the video (top number) as well as the length/end time of the video (bottom number).
  • Volume:  Adjusts the volume of the videos audio.  Note: the volume button does not adjust your device volume setting.  You will need to do that manually.  If your device volume is low, adjusting the player volume to its max will only be as loud as the device volume setting.
  • Dual View:  The player enters into dual view mode.  By default, angles 1 and 2 appear in the larger video windows.  Angles 3 and 4 appear below those windows respectively.  To swap an angle in the larger video window, simply click the angle residing below.  To move the lower windows from left to right, click on the “Click here to swap lower angles” button.  This will enable you to shuffle the angles to the appropriate swap location.  Note:  clicking on one of the larger windows will pause/play the video.  Clicking on “Dual View” while in Dual View mode will take you back to the default view.
  • Quad View:  The player enters into quad view mode.  All 4 angles can be watched simultaneously.  Clicking on any angle will pause/play the video.  Clicking on “Quad View” while in Quad View mode will take you back to the default view.
  • Full Screen:  The player enters into full screen mode.  In full screen mode, only the video angle windows and action bar controls are visible.  The logos and showcase items (discussed below) are not visible in this viewing mode.  Clicking on “Full Screen” while in Full Screen mode will take you back to the default large view.  Also, clicking on “Full Screen” while in “Dual View” or “Quad View” will take you to full screen in that respective viewing mode.

Player General

  • Icons from right to left.
  • Clicking on player control icon will pause the video (if playing) and will open the specific panel on the right, overlaying the supporting angles.  Note: The Showcase item does not pause the video as it simply expands over top of Logo2 described above.
  • When a player control icon is clicked, the icon goes reverse video to indicate the panel selection. 
  • Each player control panel displays the title of the panel in bold at the top of the panel.
  • Panels can be collapsed by either clicking the “-” or simply clicking the player control icon again.
  • All panels must be manually closed.  When collapsing a player control panel the video will resume playing from the paused location if the video was playing prior to clicking on the player control icon.
Player Controls
  • Notes:  Clicking on the Notes player control icon will open the Notes panel where you can take notes as you watch the video.  When notes have been completed, clicking send will send an email to your email account which was obtained behind the scenes during your initial player login.  If you have an open portal with no login, you will need complete the “To:” and “From:” fields on the panel.  On the “To:” field, you can enter multiple email addresses separated by commas.  A mouse over of the “To:” field will display a popup notification stating the same.  Upon returning to the player, the Notes panel message field will be reset.  As soon as you enter notes a message will appear notifying you that your notes will be lost if you choose to leave the browser page without sending.  Collapsing the Notes panel with notes will turn the Notes player control icon yellow indicating there are notes pending.  If you close out of the browser tab, you will not be notified a second time - your notes content will be lost.
  • Links:  Clicking on the Links player control icon will open the Links panel where you can configure a maximum of 10 links associated to each video.  Clicking a Link entry will open a browser tab and display the associated URL.  A mouse over on each Link name will display a popup box revealing the full Link title.
  • Documents:  Clicking on the Documents player control icon will open the Documents panel where you can configure a maximum of 10 documents associated to each video.  Clicking a Document entry will open a browser tab and display the associated PDF.  Documents can only be stored in Adobe PDF format.  A mouse over on each Document name will display a popup box revealing the full Document title.
  • Related Videos:  Can be used for short videos such as interviews, pre-op and post-op discussions, lessons learned, animations, etc.  The short take videos are limited to files less than 100MB and are not meant to house a full length video file.  Clicking a Related Video pauses the main video and overlays the main angle with the related video contents.  The related video screen has a play bar containing a play/pause button, a progress indicator which can be dragged forward and backward for rewind and fast forwarding capabilities, a time stamp indicator, volume control and full screen mode buttons.  Clicking on the “-” in the main angle window will close the opened Related Video and return you to the Related Video Panel. 
  • Showcases:  Clicking on the Showcase player control icon will display the Showcase panel directly overlaying the Logo2 image located below the Action Bar.  Up to 4 showcase items can be configured for each video.  Each showcase item configuration includes a title, name, description and picture.  Showcase items can be used to promote physicians, products, facilities, etc.  An associated link can be incorporated into the Showcase description as well as each Showcase picture.  Clicking the link and/or picture will open a browser tab and display the associated URL.
  • Contact:  Is used to contact the internal company individual responsible for the video and associated contents.  Upon entering message content, a message will appear notifying you that your contact email will be lost if you choose to leave the browser page without sending.  Collapsing the Contact panel will turn the Contact player control icon yellow indicating there is content pending.  If you close out of the browser tab, you will not be notified a second time - your contact email contents will be lost.  When content has been completed, click send to email the company contact.  If you have an open portal with no login, you will need complete the “To:” and “From:” fields on the panel.  On the “To:” field, you can enter multiple email addresses separated by commas.  A mouse over of the “To:” field will display a popup notification stating the same.
  • Tutorials:  Provides a video tutorial of the Med World Live player enabling you to view all aspects and functionality of the player without exiting your video session.  Note:  The Tutorial can also be reached from the link on the Med World Live home page.
  • Help:  Provides several avenues to reach out to Med World Live for support needs.  You can choose to enter and send email contents to our support email address, contact our operations staff by calling our corporate phone number or accessing online support documentation and links.  As soon as you enter help contents a message will appear notifying you that your help email will be lost if you choose to leave the browser page without sending.  Collapsing the Help panel with email contents will turn the Help player control icon yellow indicating there is email information pending.  If you close out of the browser tab, you will not be notified a second time - your help email contents will be lost.  If you have an open portal with no login, you will need complete the “To:” and “From:” fields on the panel.  On the “To:” field, you can enter multiple email addresses separated by commas.  A mouse over of the “To:” field will display a popup notification stating the same.
  • FDA:  Can be used to display FDA information, PMA Approval information and 510(k) Clearance information.  If the FDA player control icon appears red, this indicate an FDA Recall situation.  The FDA panel can be used to reflect recall information, bulletins, etc.
Background
  • Images:  The portal background can be configured with a background image, a primary logo and a secondary logo depending on client needs and desired branding look and feel.
  • Edit My Profile:  Click “Edit My Profile” to change your password.  You can also opt out from receiving alerts, news and promotions by unchecking the associated box.  Note: click “Update Content” when complete.
  • Logout:  Click “Logout” to log off from your user session.  The browser will be redirected back to the user login page. 
  • Search:  The search box is used to search your entire video listing for key words, names, titles etc.  Simply click on “Reset” to clear any search history/results.
  • Reset:  Clicking Reset clears the recent search history.
  • When you select play on a particular video, a separate browser tab will open and the video will begin to load/play.  When done viewing the video, simply close the browser window.  Your video listing page will still be opened where you can select another video to view or simply logout.
