The Med World Live portal technology is built on industry standard HTML5.  Although compatible with the iOS or Android operating systems, iOS has limited support to a single mp4 video stream.  So to keep a similar look and feel across tablet platforms, you must install the Med World Live ONLINE and OFFLINE applications found in either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

iOS Tablets
  • iOS 7 or higher.
  • ONLINE and OFFLINE Application minimum requirements:  iPad 3 and above with 1GB of memory or higher.
  • Note: Video playback will be inconsistent on iPad 1 and iPad 2 due to device memory limitations.
  • Access over 3G/4G connectivity is NOT recommended or supported.
  • The internet based application titled "MED WORLD LIVE ONLINE" allows you to view your entire library of videos using a Wi-Fi internet connection. The ONLINE version of the Med World Live application is located in the Apple App Store and can be obtained here.
  • The OFFLINE hardset based application titled "MED WORLD LIVE OFFLINE" allows you to download videos to your iPad tablet and access locally without the need for an internet connection.  The OFFLINE version of the Med World Live application is located in the Apple App Store and can be obtained here.
Android Tablets
  • Android 4.0 or higher.
  • ONLINE and OFFLINE Application minimum requirements:  Android based tablet with 1GB of memory or higher.
  • Access over 3G/4G connectivity is NOT recommended or supported.
  • The internet based application titled "MED WORLD LIVE ONLINE" allows you to view your entire library of videos using a Wi-Fi internet connection. The Live ONLINE version of the Med World Live application is located in the Google Play Store and can be obtained here.
  • The OFFLINE hardset based application titled "MED WORLD LIVE OFFLINE" allows you to download videos to your Android tablet and access locally without the need for an internet connection.  The OFFLINE version of the Med World Live application is located in the Google Play Store and can be obtained here.
ONLINE/OFFLINE Applications
  • To obtain the offline hardsets you need to first download the OFFLINE version of the application from the link above.
  • Once installed log into the application with your Med World Live userid (your corporate email address).  If ONLINE, you should now see all of your approved/authorized online videos.  If OFFLINE, you should see all of your approved/authorized offline hardset videos in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • You can now proceed with the purchase process for all OFFLINE hardset videos you have been approved to access.
  • Note:  To purchase the OFFLINE hardset videos your iPad must be configured with your individual Apple ID or Google Play ID, and validated credit card information.
  • The files may be quite large depending on the length of the video so it may take time to download and install the individual OFFLINE hardset videos.
  • Time out issues are usually attributed to poor or interrupted internet connectivity.  If you encounter a time out message you’ll need to reattempt the installation.
  • If an OFFLINE hardset video fails to install, please check available storage on your device prior to contacting your Med World Live Account Manager.
  • Note:  Both the ONLINE and OFFLINE applications will auto-save your login credentials upon login and will maintain your access for your current session.  Once logged out, the ONLINE application will require you to re-enter your userid and password to log back into the application.  The OFFLINE application will auto-save the userid and password and enable you to simply tap log in to access your OFFLINE hardset video library.
  • Note:  The individual video hardsets are packaged within the OFFLINE (hardset) application when they are downloaded.  If you delete the OFFLINE application from your tablet, all local video downloads will be deleted as well.  Please contact your Med World Live account manager prior to manually deleting the OFFLINE application or if you wish to remove specific hardsets from your individual video listing.
  • Note:  Each OFFLINE (hardset) video, when purchased by the company for the user, or by the individual user, will entitle the specific user(s) to 2 device licenses, e.g. 1 license for a tablet and 1 license for a phone.  After exhausting the 2 licenses, the company/user will be required to purchase additional licenses.  Please contact your Med World Live account manager with any questions.​
  • Please click here for general portal functionality explanations and directions.  Minor caveats exist between the web platform and the mobile application platform and are detailed in the next section.
Platform Caveats
  • The Company name will appear centered at the top of the video screen.
  • There are no pop up bubbles for longer names and title entries.
  • On iPaD, to refresh the video list simply tap/hold the screen and swipe down.  On Android, tap the refresh icon at the top right.  Any newly purchased, updated and/or authorized videos will appear in your list.
  • Tap and drag a supporting angle will swap angle positions, e.g. the supporting angle will move to the main angle location and the main angle will move to the supporting angle location.  The video will continue to play as angles are swapped.  On Android, you’ll need to tap and hold an angle for several seconds.  When you see the angle change and the angle number duplicated, you can then swap the angle.  Note:  You are able to move any angle location to any other angle location.
  • To pause/play the video, simply tap the pause/play action bar icon.  Tapping the main angle does not pause or play the video on the mobile platform applications.
  • To enable slow motion, tap the slow motion button.  Tapping the slow motion button again will take you back to regular play speed.  Android devices do not have slow motion capability.
  • While in Dual View or Quad View, you can tap and drag any angle to any other angle position.
  • On iPad, tap “< Back” in the upper left corner to close the video and return to the video catalog listing.  On Android, tap your back button.
  • Tap “Settings” in the upper right corner to control your video timeout option.  By default, the video will pause after 10 minutes of no user device interaction.
  • On iPad, tap “Logout” in upper right corner to log out of the mobile application.  On Android, if you are in a video and wish to logout, tap the menu button and then tap logout.
  • On OFFLINE Application only, the “Restore Purchases” can be used when your mobile device needs to be replaced or if the OFFLINE application is deleted and re-installed.  This will help you restore all OFFLINE videos purchased from the App Store and Play Store.  Please contact your Med World Live account manager regarding any issues or questions.
  • Tap "Categories" in the upper right corner to view configured categories.  If a drop down does not appear, no video categories are configured.
  • While OFFLINE and Wi-Fi is disabled, you can still use the email send function in the Help, Contact and Notes panels.  The emails will be sent once Wi-Fi connectivity is restored.
  • Note:  When using the OFFLINE application for meetings, product demonstrations, etc., please ensure you disable Wi-Fi connectivity.  This will prevent the application from attempting to contact the server for the latest video listing and will avoid access issues should you be in an environment with limited Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Note:  You may encounter intermittent slow response in opening Documents (PDFs) as well as certain pictures/illustrations rendering incorrectly or not at all.  This is due to current limitations of the built-in Android library used to view PDFs.
iOS Bug Reporting
  • Please report all bugs to support@medworldlive.com.
  • Attach a screen shot of the error or bug if possible.
  • Include the type of iPad, e.g. iPad 2, iPad 3 w/Retinal Display.
  • Include model number of the iPad (Settings/General/About).
  • Include the version of Med World Live Application (Settings/General/Usage/Manage Storage).
  • Select Manage Storage under STORAGE heading – not the ICLOUD heading.
  • Select the appropriate Med World Live Application.
  • Please include as much information and sequence of events/clicks leading up to the bug find.
Android Bug Reporting

  • Attach a screen shot of the error or bug if possible.
  • Include the type of the Android tablet, e.g. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

  • Select the appropriate Med World Live Application.
