ATTENTION Med World Live Users:

If you have received the new Google Chrome update (version 42.0.2311.90 m - or greater), it is imperative you take the actions below to be able to view your Med World Live videos using this browser.

Google Chrome Silverlight Install Prompt Issue
  • What: You will see repeated prompts to install Silverlight when playing a video due to your system receiving a Google Chrome update (Version 42.0.2311.90 m - or greater).
  • Why: Google is slowly phasing out support of a widely used plugin called NPAPI (Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface).  NPAPI is a cross-platform plugin architecture used by many web browsers.
  • To re-enable the plugin, select the following bold text, right click and select copy: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
  • Launch Chrome, in the address bar, right click and select "Paste and Go".  This will direct you to the plugin configuration location.
  • Simply click on "Enable" below the yellow highlighted "Enable NPAPI" entry.

  • At the bottom of your browser window, click the "Relaunch Now" button.  Note: Closing and reopening Chrome is not sufficient.  You must click the "Relaunch Now" button.

  • Browse back to the Med World Live website.
  • Your videos should now function properly.
Windows 8 Users

  • Launch Chrome, in the address bar, right click and select "Paste and Go".  This will direct you to the plugin configuration location.
  • Simply click the down arrow and select the "Disabled" entry.

  • At the bottom of your browser window, click the "Relaunch Now" button.  Note: Closing and reopening Chrome is not sufficient.  You must click the "Relaunch Now" button.

Technology Road Map Update
  • The plugin fix above is temporary.  Google will totally disable the NPAPI plugin in September 2015.
  • What: The Med World Live Portal Technology is being transitioned to the HTML5 platform.
  • Why: Our portal technology will no longer require any plugins or additional software installations.  All functionality will exist solely through web browser technology.
  • More to come as we get closer to launch...
We appreciate your patience.
